Bravo was commissioned to design, manufacture and install a bespoke kitchen and fitted furniture package for a private residential property in Ascot, SL5.
The brief was to create a high-end open-plan kitchen that felt refined, architectural and completely integrated with the surrounding living space. The client wanted a kitchen that combined practical everyday storage with a strong contemporary design, using a sophisticated palette of deep green cabinetry, warm timber finishes, dark glass wall units, stone worktops and a statement island.
This was not a standard kitchen installation. The project required a carefully engineered bespoke furniture solution, designed specifically around the proportions of the room, the appliance layout, the natural light and the way the space would be used by the family.
The client wanted a kitchen that would sit confidently within a large open-plan living area. Because the kitchen was visible from the dining and lounge spaces, every detail needed to feel intentional.
The design needed to include:
• Full-height integrated appliance housing
• A long main kitchen run with glass wall cabinets
• Timber drawer fronts and feature top boxes
• Deep green fitted cabinetry
• A central kitchen island with open shelving
• Concealed storage for everyday use
• Precise alignment across doors, drawers and panels
• A premium fitted finish suitable for a high-end residential property
The goal was to create a kitchen that was practical enough for daily family use but refined enough to become a key architectural feature within the home.
The Challenge: Making a Complex Kitchen Feel Calm and Seamless
One of the main challenges in this Ascot kitchen project was balancing several different materials and functions within one clean visual composition.
The kitchen combined tall cabinetry, integrated ovens, glass wall units, timber fronts, stone surfaces, island shelving and full-height feature panels. Each element had to be carefully planned so the finished space looked calm, balanced and bespoke.
Tall fitted cabinetry
The tall green units created a strong architectural frame around the kitchen. With full-height doors and integrated appliances, even small variations in levels, gaps or panel alignment would have been visible. This meant the design and installation needed to be extremely precise.
Mixed material coordination
The kitchen included several premium finishes: green cabinetry, warm timber, dark reflective glass, stone worktops and metal-framed wall units. The challenge was to make these materials feel connected rather than visually busy.
Integrated appliance housing
The oven bank had to be incorporated into the tall furniture run without disrupting the overall design. The appliance openings, surrounding panels and door lines were set out carefully to maintain a clean, built-in appearance.
A statement kitchen island
The island was designed as more than a work surface. It needed to function as a preparation area, storage feature and visual centrepiece. The timber wrap, stone detail and open shelving were all developed to make the island feel like a bespoke furniture piece rather than a standard kitchen unit.
The Solution: Bespoke Furniture Designed Around the Room
Bravo approached the project as a complete fitted furniture package rather than a conventional kitchen supply.
The design was developed around three key principles: proportion, material balance and practical use.
The deep green cabinetry gives the kitchen structure and a strong contemporary identity. The timber fronts introduce warmth and connect the kitchen to the natural tones of the floor. The dark glass wall cabinets add depth and reflection, helping the long elevation feel lighter and more refined.
By carefully controlling the relationship between these materials, the kitchen feels layered and sophisticated without becoming cluttered.
Bespoke Manufacturing Detail
Because the furniture was manufactured specifically for this project, we were able to control the details that make the final result feel premium.
The manufacturing process focused on:
• Accurate panel sizing for the property
• Consistent door and drawer margins
• Carefully set-out appliance openings
• Matched grain direction on timber-effect fronts
• Clean vertical shadow gaps
• Robust cabinet construction for tall units
• Precise island shelving and support details
• A coordinated finish across the kitchen and living area
This level of control is one of the key advantages of choosing a bespoke kitchen manufacturer rather than relying on standard modular cabinetry.
Fitting and Installation
The installation stage was critical. In a large open-plan kitchen, the furniture is visible from multiple angles, so alignment, levelling and junction details matter.
Our fitting team installed the tall cabinetry, main kitchen run, wall units and island with close attention to panel gaps, appliance integration, worktop junctions and overall visual balance.
The finished kitchen sits cleanly within the architecture of the room and feels fully integrated rather than added afterwards.
The Result: A High-End Bespoke Kitchen in Ascot
The completed project is a refined, practical and highly individual kitchen designed around the client’s home and lifestyle.
The final result delivers:
• A bespoke open-plan kitchen tailored to the property
• Full-height fitted cabinetry with integrated appliances
• A sophisticated green and timber material palette
• Dark glass wall units for depth and reflection
• A statement island with open shelving
• Practical storage without visual clutter
• Clean lines, controlled gaps and precise alignment
• A premium fitted furniture finish throughout
This Ascot project demonstrates how bespoke kitchen design and manufacturing can solve complex spatial, technical and aesthetic challenges.
Rather than simply filling a room with cabinets, Bravo created a fully integrated furniture solution that enhances the architecture of the home.
